B.YOUTH EDIBLE GARDEN PROJECT 2015

B.Youth is partnering Ecocentric Transitions to organize an edible garden project at Sivananda Home in Batu Caves, Selangor.

The mission for this project is to promote sustainable living, while inculcating a meaningful activity among the underprivileged children. Tending to the edible garden is a healthy pastime for the 28 boys at Sivananda Home, aged between 7 to 16 years old. Best of all, fresh fruits and vegetables harvested will be utilized for their own consumption.

It is also our hope that the edible garden project will help to develop the physical, mental and social development of the young boys at Sivananda Home. Community bonding is also a natural progression as we work together to build the edible garden.

B.Youth volunteers will have the opportunity to learn new skills of growing your own fruits and vegetables, while making a difference in the lives of these children!
